Misconceptions and misandry

Isn't it so cliche these days to hear how feminism is ruining the world? But you know, many of us would say it's the misconceptions that are ruining the world. Now I'm not going to, and I probably shouldn't, argue that there isn't a single person who has used this term for their personal gain wrongly. But I am going to emphasize the 'wrongly'. We don't consider it right. Every movement and evolution has had people who misuse it. We don't go blaming every single supporter there, do we? Feminism, like its definition, demands equality. The future isn't female. The future is equal.
Misandry, more simply put as man-hating, is a term that is very often confused with feminism. Well, why are they confused together? Perhaps it's because the patriarchy gives men a superior name, and with that name comes more rights than those of women. And since the feminist movement's target is to diminish the patriarchy, it's easily mistaken that every person involved in it wants women to diminish the voices of men, or to have "more" rights. So, feminism doesn't sit well with quite a few people due to this misconception. While some people think that the rage women use to stand up for themselves isn't very "feminine", many people genuinely care about equality but don't support feminism because they've been continuously fed these misunderstandings.
